The room itself was really good, a comfortable bedroom with large en suite bathroom and then a very large lounge area with views across the estuary and towards the castle at Conwy. The view was absolutely the best thing about the hotel. We were keen to get a drink and relax in the bar after our long drive, so headed downstairs and found the bar area which also faces out to the estuary, this is modern in design, not particularly comfortable or warm, given guests were struggling to open and close the glass door which led outside and this coming and going froze everyone inside. My partner went to the bar and ordered a Guinness and Gin and Tonic. After a while, I thought he must have got lost as it took over 20 mins to get served. When he came with the drinks it was clear there as an issue with the Guinness which looked like it had been scooped up from a puddle outside. He commented they had issues pouring it, it kept fobbing and they could not actually get a pint of liquid. He tried to drink this, but it was not right.
